Advice and support if the person you cared for is now in a hospital or hospice
If the person you care for is now in a hospice: Roxburghe House is a purpose built specialist palliative care unit staffed by a dedicated team. People are admitted to the unit for short periods of time for the management of problems associated with advanced illness. The multi professional team also provides care that is supportive and dignified when it is recognised that a person is dying. For general enquiries you can phone the administration team Monday to Friday on 01382 423132, or contact the in-patient unit on 01382 423133. If the person you care for is now in a community hospital: carers have new rights to be involved in hospital discharge planning as a result of the Carers (Scotland) Act 2016. There are three community hospitals in Angus - Arbroath Infirmary, Stracathro Hospital and Whitehills Health & Community Care Centre. For further information visit www.angushscp.scot/adult-services.
