It is important to take a break from your caring role from time to time
Whether you are a carer or the person being cared for, it is important to take a break from the strains of looking after someone or being looked after. There are various options for short break opportunities and these can vary depending on your individual circumstances.
NHS Choices can provide information on the different types of funding that may be available and can support you to apply for a Short Break or respite care. They can also connect you with a range of other support services to take a break from your caring role. Please visit www.nhs.uk/Conditions/social-care-and-support-guide/Pages/breaks-for-carers-respite-care.aspx
