Home security check

Police Scotland can offer safety advice and help people put in place preventative methods to stop them being subject to a burglary and theft.

You can contact your local Community Policing Team through their non emergency phone number 101. You can also visit their website by following the link here

You can also contact ACCESSLine on 03452 777 778 for further information.

You could also consider installing external lights that are automated and are triggered when someone approaches your home. This would enable you to see anyone who knocks on your door at night so that you would find it easier to decide whether to open your door to the visitor or not. A door chain may also be useful as it allows you to open the door part way to see who is there, before letting someone into your home.
