Police Scotland can offer safety advice and help people put in place preventative methods to stop them being subject to burglary and theft. Angus Council provide a Community Alarm service as well as a bogus caller alert. This alert can be installed within your home and allows you to raise an alarm if you fear that an intruder or bogus caller is trying to gain access to your property. Community Alarm have teams based throughout Angus and are on duty 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Angus Council will carry out an assessment to determine if a community alarm should be fitted. There is a weekly charge of £4.90 for the community alarm service.There is also a £1.00 charge if accessories are fitted to support use of the community alarm - ie. falls detector.
