Improving security for victims of burglary
If you have been the victim of burglary or are worried about the risk of being burgled, you can receive a range of support and advice to make your home safer.
Police Scotland can offer safety advice and help people put in place preventative methods to stop them being subject to burglary and theft. You can contact your local Community Policing Team through their non emergency phone number 101. You can also visit their website using the link www.scotland.police.uk/your-community/tayside/angus.

Angus Council provide a Community Alarm service as well as a bogus caller alert. This alert can be installed within your home and allows you to raise an alarm if you fear that an intruder or bogus caller is trying to gain access to your property. Community Alarm have teams based throughout Angus and are on duty 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Angus Council will carry out an assessment to determine if a community alarm should be fitted. There is a weekly charge of £4.90 for the community alarm service.There is also a £1.00 charge if accessories are fitted to support use of the community alarm - ie. falls detector.
