Loan Options
Angus Health and Social Care Partnership have a range of equipment solutions available for loan (free of charge) from Independent Living Angus. Small adaptations can also be arranged once owner/ landlord permissions have been obtained, usually free of charge. There is a weekly cost associated with the community alarm and tele-care service.
It is very important that the Angus Health and Social Care Partnership know that the equipment they loan is suitable for both you, other household members and your home.

You may also want to consider trialling a hydration system. This is available for a loan period of up to 4 weeks and helps with fluid intake and dehydration concerns. The hydration system prompts people to take regular drinks via friendly voice messages and reminder light settings. A nightlight function is also available which allows the user to easily locate their drink during the night.

There can be a variety of reasons for why you might have fallen, so it is important to consider these to try and reduce further falls from occurring. Alternatively, you can email Tay-UHB.angusfallsservice@nhs.net. The falls service can provide a full assessment of your situation and make recommendations that may help you reduce the risks of falls. They can also refer you on to other services that may be able to assist.

There are also a range of supports available for Carers who provide unpaid, regular care for a relative or friend. You may be eligible for a carers assessment if:
- you regularly provide a lot of care to a relative or friend who is disabled, frail, ill, has a mental-health problem or a drug or alcohol problem
- you are planning to provide care in the future, for example, for someone who is about to leave hospital
- the needs of the person you are caring for have changed, either because they need more help or you feel that you are not able to manage
Angus Young Carers can also provide support to someone aged 18 or under who helps to look after or support a member of their family due to:
- physical or learning disability
- mental illness
- physical illness
- drug or alcohol problems
- chronic or terminal illness.
