The answers that you have given suggest that your memory loss is a concern to yourself or people that are close to you.
Often talking this over with someone who understands this difficulty can either allay your fears or give you advice on what to do. This person could be your GP.
We are also trying to raise awareness in relation to Purple Alert. Purple Alert is a free mobile phone app designed by people living with dementia and their carers with Alzheimer’s Scotland, Police Scotland, Social Work, Dementia Friends, Dementia Friends Scotland, Health and Social Care Partnerships and telecare services.
The app allows carers to share the person living with dementia’s profile (with consent) if they lose their way and allows for eyes and ears on the ground immediately helping to find them.
Purple Alert is the first app of its kind in the UK and it is available for free download to iOS and Android smartphones. You can find out more about Purple Alert by visiting purplealert.org.uk/
