With her eccentric style and quick wit, Iris Apfel was always destined for fame – even if it took more than eight decades to get there. "Retiring at an early age is a fate worse than death," says fashion icon Iris Apfel. And at 97, with no sign of slowing down, she's become a bit of an authority on the subject. "Just because you are older doesn't mean you have to stop living or working or roll up into a ball and wait until you pass on," she says.
